This Remington manufactured first variation receiver sub-assembly with scope mounting groove and receiver bushing are for the pre-grade model 572 Fieldmaster slide action rimfire rifle manufactured the first two years of manufacture only (1955-1956). This first variation receiver is designed for the 572 which does NOT use the locking bar assembly and uses the early variation action bar and early variation breech bolt. This item is in very good condition retaining about 95% original blue finish with light wear. Receivers are the only part on the model 572 Fieldmaster rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)
